You hire us. AIX Outdoors LLC is a southeast Iowa land management company for rural property owners. We bring the machines to your property and do the work you scope — invasive clearing, gravel driveway maintenance, timber stand improvement, and related field services. We do not own a farm or hunting ground that clients visit.

We are based in the Burlington / New London area and serve southeast Iowa. Most jobs fall within about 100 miles of Burlington, IA 52601 (including nearby Missouri and Illinois ZIPs). Use the ZIP checker or tell us your nearest town.

Land clearing has a minimum flat rate of $2,000 per day. That is a floor, not a package deal. Each job quote is unique depending on what you want accomplished — density, access, terrain, and finish goals all change the number. Call or request a free estimate with photos.

Gravel driveway maintenance has a minimum of $500. Each quote is unique to the property and the materials needed. If the job requires more gravel to be purchased, material cost and hauling of that material are itemized on the quote.

We remove aggressive invasive species common across Iowa — multiflora rose, bush honeysuckle, autumn olive, and other brush that spreads quickly and reduces forage and cover for wildlife. Forestry mulching finishes the work in place. Our approach prioritizes efficient clearing while protecting desirable trees and understory so native habitat recovers stronger. Timber stand improvement is selective thinning — removing competing or low-value stems and opening the canopy to favor higher-quality hardwoods and better wildlife habitat. Whether the goal is healthier timber, improved hunting cover, or cleaner, more usable woods, we tailor TSI to the property and the landowner’s objectives. Hunting stand lanes can be part of the same visit when you need them.

Yes. Invasive plant clearing and forestry mulching on private land often targets bush honeysuckle, autumn olive, multiflora rose, buckthorn, thorny honey locust thickets, Callery pear, oriental bittersweet, and similar woody problems common in southeast Iowa. No. Stand management is lane, approach, and pad work on equipment you already own. Plot seed is specified in the install, not sold from a shop counter in this sample.

Mulch in place is the default finish on clearing. We haul when you cannot dump on site, when brush or spoil has to leave, or when a driveway needs stone delivered. Hauling is quoted uniquely for your job.

Yes — that is the usual quote. Clearing into a plot, trails plus stand lanes, or driveway resurfacing plus stone haul, saves a second farm visit.

Winter can actually be a good window for clearing, once brush is easier to see and ground firms up.

SAMPLE policy — the owner can set different real terms. As drafted for this design: a deposit (illustratively, around 25% of the quoted total) holds a start-week slot on the calendar. If a job needs material ordered ahead of time (seed, stone), a separate materials deposit may be requested at order time. Moving a scheduled date requires reasonable advance notice (illustratively, 5 business days) so the slot can be rebooked; weather-driven reschedules are handled without penalty. None of these numbers are copied from any other company — they are placeholders for the owner to confirm.

We stop and talk before we do it. If the scope changes once equipment is on the ground — more brush than the photos showed, a culvert that’s worse than expected, extra material needed — that becomes a new quote for the added scope, not a surprise line on the invoice. You approve it before we proceed.

Yes. A real quote is a dated document naming acres or linear feet, access notes, the finish condition, and a price — not a verbal number. Everything labeled “sample” on this site is for design review only and is not that document.
